I was tired of being limited by fear

I've suffered from an imaginary 'disorder' most of my life.

At school I didn't say much because I was shy and saw myself as different. This created shame in me and I experienced a lot of anxiety in my twenties. This led to a lot of unnecessary suffering and missed opportunities.

I was so nervous at my job I would frequently have dizzy spells and even momentary blindness in office meetings.

And none of it was necessary.

I know this because I've spent most of my life trying to figure this 'problem' out.

What I found was that I never had a problem at all.

It wasn't about my inadequacies or a 'disorder' that needed 'curing.'

It was simply that I needed to direct my attention away from my suffering and towards what was good in the world around me.

It meant truly understanding the simple nature of thought, focus and desensitisation.

This shift changed everything for me. It helped me realised that what I feared was what I cared deeply for. I realised that I was the exact opposite of what I thought was wrong in me.
